Single in Sunnyside

So, I have decided to rename this Blog from "Through the Narrow Gate," to "Single in Sunnyside" due to my current situation, which is that I am single... in Sunnyside. Makes sense to me.

I may-as-well write what I know and this is what I know. 

Why is it so hard to find decent and available guys in "real life?" It is so hard I find, that I have resorted to the internet in hopes of possibly meeting someone with whom I can connect with. 

I turned 30 this year and had always imagined I would be married with kids by now, but God has other plans so I must remain focused and trust Him that He knows the desires of my heart and His will - will be done, in His perfect timing when I put my life in His MOST capable hands. 

I realize this post is rather random and has not much rhyme or reason to it, but I just have a lot of thoughts jumping out at me that I may-as-well put down onto the page... 

This past week was a VERY difficult one for not only me, but many people around Aurora, Denver, Colorado and the country as there was a mass shooting at a premiere showing  showing of the new Batman movie. Sadly, 12 people were killed and over 50 wounded. My thoughts and prayers have been with the families and friends of those impacted by this tragedy. My heart goes out to all those hurting and I must say- I am hurting along with them. The enemy is present these days- sometimes it feels more-so then in the past, but thankfully the Light always outshines the darkness and our loving Father is ALWAYS with us and will help us through such difficult times. I am so blessed to have the Creator of all in my life- thank you Jesus for being the example we need to follow and for saving us from ourselves and the evil of this world. 

I think I'll leave it there for now and will write more as it comes to me.
